I share alot of sentiments about women in general having joked that all my life that I was robbed of it, I have come to feel alot about women as a title , role ,gender and all that comes with it .Having been brought up by a single mother half my life I find myself leaning towards the “glorify –all-that-has-a-vagina” part of the population ,this which I don’t regret not even a slight bit .There is alot that comes with being a women from the many stereotypes that one has to fight everyday to the name calling that is just as bad, unfortunately living in S.A now affords you falling under the “Whore”(steal all the dick you can get type), “The Lesbian”(I hate all men angry type”),and lastly “The Big Momma”(uneducated domesticated overweight child bearing type) sad ...Which shall be the main focal points of this article. Having observed these for a while I found myself deep in thought. Was this all our women have been brought too? All of these tags and stereotypes I had witnessed and drew from many a conversations that I had both partaken in or witnessed ... “The Whore” being every second young woman to pass by which funny enough is the most easy to spot as it happens to be all the female population as I bet you none has gone through their lives without having this uttered to them or to another, what further broke my heart was the female to female hating and degradation that I have witnessed from the young girl in the campus cafeteria easily stapling this tag to celebs like Nonhle Thema as they dared to take their wealth status to social network whilst if you’d ask them to further elaborate on their own sexual endeavours they would shut up as fast as they do in there chemical engineering tutorial! how many reading this have been guilty of calling Khanyi Mbau a whore or worse how many have called a fellow female a whore ? I guess with that in mind one needs to start re evaluating what actions and deeds constitutes one to being labelled such , what Is the actual meaning and definition?.
The second one has to be my favourite as it usually comes from us black males who always sing long poems of longing to meet a chick who is so hell bent in reserving her purity for you to take away through holy matrimony that when she passes along and does not even acknowledge your cheap horny hustles and bustles she is automatically labelled a “lesbian” or any other androgynous sexuality that does not fall under the straight and narrow part of society ....sad! as we still live in a society that is hell bent on tagging as well as classifying people according to categories that are driven by sheer ignorance .The very same disease that has infected the male species to thinking that they infinitely are greater than all, as now a woman just can’t find you attractive and let that just be what it is (your ass being unattractive to her) as we are all to blame for the constant glorification of the “dick” that is going on daily as it is due to this mentality and other factors that we find such social ills such as rape appearing .Now brothers if she aint entertaining you it’s because you just aint her piece of pie! ....The last is the “Big Momma” unashamedly many of us have found ourselves treating women along this category , as this is the lady that you look down upon at your local supermarket , this is the lady that cleans your residence that you fail to greet ...buts what’s worse is that we fail to acknowledge the strength of these women as many a households are built by these women , many of us are products of these homes that are pillared by our “big momma’s”. It saddens me that our mindsets as the youth have been brought to such lows against our women, this coming month my plea to you is a simple smile .So when next time a female specie passes your way a smile to depict that you understand the story that is behind her beautiful hips and curvaceous body ....most of all smile to acknowledge that you respect the curveballs that life has thrown at her but yet she wakes up to face another day in this earth.
